At the start of December we saw the arrival of our beautiful fishing boat - I'm sure you all agree it is a great asset to our school.

We have decided to run a competition to find a suitable name and number for our treasured boat.  There will be 2 boxes left in the main foyer of the school - one for name and the other for number.  Please write your chosen name/number on a slip of paper with your own name and class on back and pop into the correct box.  The competition will run from Monday 2nd February - Friday 6th February.  When the name and number have been chosen a signwriter will be employed to add the finishing touches to our boat. This competition is for pupils only - sorry parents. Good luck everyone!

All children are invited to wear a Halloween costume to school on Wednesday 29th October.  Please remember costumes can be flimsy so wear something warm underneath.  Please bring a little something to eat and drink for class party.  It'll be spook - tac - u - lar!!!  Ha Ha Ha!!!

Primary 1 and 2 pupils will visit Kilkeel RNLI Station for a wee visit and talk to be given by Roy Teggarty and Gary Young on Monday 6th October.

Our annual Curriculum Evening will take place on Monday 29th September 2014 @ 6.30pm.

To celebrate the Down Ladies reaching the Semi-Final we are going to wear only RED and BLACK clothing to school on Friday 26th September.  We will have a special visit from Down Ladies squad members Lauren Cunningham and Sinead Brannigan - two past pupils of ours!!!
